Summer Classes Are Over, Now What?

Relax. Yes, folks, that is the advice. Plan to spend two weeks doing as little as you can get away with before you start readying yourself for fall. Go to bed early, sleep late, have an extra helping or two of your favorite foods, and focus on rest and recovery. Read your favorite book, watch your favorite moves, spend time with your favorite people, whatever works for you!

If you find your mind drifting back to school, think about some of the ways that you can prep for fall, or how you can organize your time to make the next term go more smoothly. Think about last fall, what went right and what didn’t? Set yourself up not just to succeed, but also to feel good while doing it. Let fall be the term that you complete feeling as if you had a good workout, rather than like you endured a maelstrom of misery! Maybe you will never love school, but you can still improve the experience and make it and the rest of your school life less difficult!

In the meantime, maybe it’s time to catch up on some classic Doctor Who, investigate Orange is the New Black on Netflix, refresh your memory for the final episodes of Breaking Bad, or start gearing up for NFL regular season play. So, choose your entertainment poison, dig out some of those makeup samples you’ve been dying to try, and enjoy your break.
